Men's Chains of Office
These knightly chains of office were worn from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance Period to denote nobility, knighthood, or recognition by royalty to their supporters. The Chains of Office were usually made from precious metals. This was the grandest form of recognition that could be given to the benefactor's closest or most important associates.
