Our top-of-the-line Corset is a reproduction of those worn during the Elizabethan Era. Corsets helped to create the illusion of narrow waists. We used the styling of the era, but added some modern innovations to make the Corset comfortable to wear. Instead of using reeds, we used 44 pieces of steel boring and hand-hammered end caps on each tip of the boning. Our superb sewing prevents the boning from poking through the fabric. The side-tab boning is designed so it won't pinch your waist at the hips. A wooden busk is inserted between the layers of fabric in the front point to help keep the front of the Corset laying smooth - a period construction technique.
