Women's Edwardian Era and Early 1900's Gowns and Dresses
In the early 1900's ladies favored fluffy confections of dresses and gowns. The wide hoopskirts and bustles were out; ruffles, pintucks, and many layers of lace were in. Simple tea gowns were popular. When I think of the Edwardian Era, I picture the gowns from the movies "Somewhere in Time" and "The Titanic". After 1912 hemlines started to slowly inch upwards.
 
Many of our gowns are handmade here in Michigan and are available in sizes XS to 4XL. We also feature designer gowns from Nataya and Lee Andersen.
 
Don't forget about hats, boots, parasols, and lace gloves when planning your Edwardian outfit.  As dresses become more slender, hats became larger and more ornate!
