 Forest Creek Renaissance Shoppe is a wholly owned subsidiary of Susan Sherry Associates Inc - a Southeast Michigan company that was founded in 2005. The owner has been interested in history her entire life. Her earliest memories are of walking in the plowed fields of her grandfather's farm and finding arrowheads - being a child with a vivid imagination she created all sorts of stories about the people who had originally lived on the land! Reading historical romances as a 'tween only added to her imagination.
During Susan's college years she was a business major, but her primary interest was American Culture and History. She put herself through college being a tour guide at The Henry Ford, an outstanding 80-acre historical village complex in Southeast Michigan. After graduation she worked in a number of progressively higher business positions at a local university and taught business courses as an adjunct professor, but her passion has always been researching the past.
Creating Forest Creek Renaissance Shoppe has enabled Susan to focus on her love of history, period costumes, and antiques. She loves researching period fashion, handling costumes, and working with customers. "All our customers are doing exciting things - from Shakespearean Theatre to opera performances to working with youth groups to planning period weddings. It is fun to help them make their upcoming event something very special that they'll remember for a lifetime."

Our business office is located in Westland, Michigan. We are an online and mail order company; we don't have a customer showroom at this time. If you are ordering custom Victorian or Edwardian clothing, we can send you fabric swatches so that you will know what the fabric feels and looks like before ordering.
